The hull is GRP sandwich with high density PVC foam core, laid up using vacuum bagging techniques. The deck is GRP balsa sandwich construction. The deep fin version is rated as Cat A. It accommodates six people, with a forecabin, spacious stern cabin and two berths in the saloon. There is extensive dry lined storage below the saloon berths. The heads is to starboard behind the chart table and navigators forward facing seat. The L - shaped galley is to port, with a two burner and oven cooker, 65l top entry refrigerator and stainless steel inset sink in a coran work surface surface. The saloon table has drop -down flaps at both side, with a wine store in the centre section. Various arrangements of cupboards run along the rear sides (these depend on the construction period, some have sliding ply or acrylic panels, others fold down door). With a full masthead rig, the foresail is normally a 135% genoa, although some boats are equipped with a 150%. The battened main is normally equipped for slab reefing, with a winch on the mast. Sailing performance is very good, both a a cruising boat and for the occasional club racing. There are both wheel and tiller versions available. The cockpit is comfortably deep, with wide side decks to make movement around the boat easy. There is also a lift keel version known as the Dufour 32 Integral. This has a keel that lifts into a housing under the cabin table and twin rudders. This version has a shaft drive.
