IMPI SHIELD RACE FOR CRUISERS 18 July - Guernsey
This race is hosted by the Royal Channel Islands Yacht Club (Guernsey) LBG and partly sponsored by member Ray Redelinghuys. It is being held on the 18th of July.
The race is down to Roches Douvres and back to Guernsey. It is designed for cruisers as only woven sails are allowed - eliminating advantages laminate sails may give to performance cruisers. Any boat may enter subject to the sail restriction. Spinnakers and Cruising Chutes are allowed.
It is at the start of the school holidays and is designed for cruising folk to bolt the race on to their cruising plans in the Channel Islands area.

Ray will sponsor a small side prize for the first association yacht to finish if the association arranged a rally to coincide with the race.

I am willing to arrange a cruise in company if any members wish to make this into a rally to the Channel Islands.
