Dufour Owners Association: new forum comment on Crack in Bulkhead

New comment from Gordon Dyer

Hi Arik
Yip, I agree with that, your crack is not in the plywood bulkhead, but the solid timber capping of the door frame. It may have been originally installed with a bit of tension, then shunk.
Cheers

Crack in Bulkhead

We have a 2008 Dufour GL 525.We have discovered a crack in the woodwork wall near the base of our forward cabin door below the floorboards. We have had someone take a cursory look at it and it could be cosmetic or structural but is beyond their tools to investigate further. Has anyone experienced something similar? Dufour have not responded – does anyone have any responsive contacts or know a good surveyor and boatyard in Croatia, Greece or Italy? We are currently in Montenegro-Croatia.
