29th April – 1st May 2017: Ramsgate – Boulogne – Ramsgate

An Early Spring Bank Holiday rally in each location with an optional channel crossing.

26th – 28th May 2017 – Cherbourg and beyond

Joint DA/CVD (French Dufour Association) rally in Cherbourg Saturday 27th May. Anyone who wants to follow us on down to St Malo on the Sunday and Monday, sailing with members of the CVD who are based there, are most welcome.

Those who were present at the last joint DA/CVD rally in Cherbourg in 2015 will remember the excellent meal and very friendly rally that took place. The same very friendly atmosphere was evident in 2016 in St Peter Port.

A great opportunity to stretch your sea legs and meet friends old and new in the port of Cherbourg. The get-together takes place on Saturday evening, so it leaves plenty of time to explore the town or top up on the local delicacies before heading for home or exploring further along the French coast.

27th – 30th May 2017: Ramsgate – Boulogne – Ramsgate

An Early Spring Bank Holiday rally in each location with an optional channel crossing.

Event 2: 11th June – 2nd July 2017 – Brittany Cruise

Joint DA/CVD cruise along the north coast of Brittany and if weather permits around the Brest peninsula and along the south coast before returning home. This event is planned to commence in St Malo on or around 11th June. We plan to have Tandala back in the Solent 3 weeks later, but people are welcome to continue or return with us as they please.

How far we get will depend entirely on the weather!

Event 3: 22nd – 23rd July 2017 – Beaulieu River

Dufour Association meeting at Royal Southampton Yacht club on the Beaulieu River in July. This will be the fourth year that we have had rallies at this lovely setting on the lower reaches of the Beaulieu River.

Moorings are normally available on the walk ashore pontoon. The sunsets can be simply stunning and after an excellent meal the rural surroundings provide absolute peace and tranquillity, Come along and enjoy!

Event 4 : 18th – 21st August – Weymouth

An opportunity for Solent boats to stretch their legs or boats further west to join in at a summer meeting. Weymouth has so many options and attractions that it remains an excellent location for a rally.

There is always space in Weymouth even in the middle of summer. Sit and relax and watch the world go floating by before eating in one of the many hostelries within a short stroll of the quay. Last year we cooked and ate on board the boats. A safari supper might be an option this year.

Event 5: 23rd – 24th September – Bembridge

The now traditional last rally of the season, often the most well attended rally in the pretty surroundings of the Duver Marina in quiet Bembridge harbour. A barbecue close to the marina and a warm marquee to shelter in as the air cools in the evening. A gentle stroll over to the lovely café on the beach for a coffee before leaving for home in the morning.

Saturday 23th September is the date of a new event at The Duver Marina called Oktoberfest. This coincides with the Bembridge Harbour Food Festival. They will be featuring locally sourced beer, food and ales with live music in the evening as well.

It doesn’t matter if you are coming to your first rally or have been to many; the group at each rally is slightly different but always equally friendly and welcoming.
