2024 Photo Competition Winners
The 2024 Dufour Association Photo Competition produced some 36 entries, and what a range of photos we had in different styles, locations and situations – with some great creativity.
Now we can name the winners as being
- Eddie Tingle from Cork in Ireland with “‘Mystic’ – Dufour 30 Classic – Fastnet Rock”
- Martin McCullough of Carrickfergus in Northern Island with “Leaving Ireland”
and - Joseph Smith from Largs in Scotland with “Calm after the Storm”

David Eyre Trophy Winners 2024
This trophy is awarded for the best article in Dufour News magazine for the year, as chosen by Dorothy Eyre (current Honorary Auditor and wife of past Secretary David Eyre) and confirmed by the Association’s committee.
This year the award was won by Anne Hand for her article ‘Jacana’s Summer Jaunt 2023’ which was in the 2024 Summer issue of Dufour News. Anne is awarded the trophy and receives two personalised Dufour Association glasses.
Association Events
The Association has announced an initiative for new “meet-ups” in place of rallies. These enable members to organise meetings of Association members and receive support to promote and potentially finance these meetings. Members see details here.
