I am a country girl from Queensland, Australia and spent my childhood with black soil between my toes. Certainly no sand or salt water! My first experience of sailing came when I met my life partner, Craig, who took me sailing through the Whitsunday Islands. Many years later, I undertook my RYA Competent Crew and subsequently, Day Skipper training in Western Australia and enjoyed sailing those coastal waters.
After moving to the USA, we bought our first boat, a 38ft sloop, and sailed the waters of Galvaston Bay for a few years. It was in the UK where we moved in 2014 that we actively began searching for our dream boat and in 2018 we found our Dufour in Lymington. We sailed the Solent and the south coast of the UK for a year before launching out, sailing across to France, the Bay of Biscay, Portugal, Gibraltar and then into the Western Med.
Inelsamo is currently moored in Hammamet in Tunisia with big plans for continued Med sailing for a few years to come. I joined the Dufour Association in 2018 when we first acquired our boat and have valued the information and learnings from the community.
