If the panel is completely dead then I would first check the fuses which should be located on the port side of the engine just below the exhaust elbow if it is the same as the 2030. If the fuse has blown then there are one or two spare fuses next to it which you can just change to by pulling the connector off the dud fuse and putting it on to the adjacent one. With the 20X0 series once the engine has been started it does not need any electrical power to keep running. Did the rev counter stop working on the trip to Port Solent?Hope this helps
