Have you checked the valve under the cooker?On my Classic 36 it has a red knob and turns through 90 degrees. I suspect yours will be the same. We had the same problem as you. After a while we realised it was simply this valve that was “ stuck”. We undid the screw in the centre of the knob, cleaned it up , screwed it back and hey presto gas once again flowed! Worth a try before more drastic measures?
