I agree with Bob – having had some serious scraping of the bow on my previous boat.
Also you said you would use 2 mooring lines. Is that intended to be one through the port fairlead and one through the starboard fairlead? If so you will need a decent swivel on the mooring buoy to prevent the lines becoming twisted as the boat turns at each turn of the tide. Even with a swivel they can still twist and you may want to consider putting both lines through the starboard fairlead but securing each to separate cleats. By the way, 8 plait is best.
