We have a Dufour P40 with continental sockets and I decided to keep them and purchase French plugs to put on equipment kept onboard. The plugs are far more compact with round pins and do less damage to the varnish-work when dropped or dragged along. Many types of charger for electronic equipment have interchangeable plug heads but for those that do not we use travel adaptors. For higher power equipment used at home and aboard I use an extension lead with a French plug on one end and an English socket on the other.
