The wiring you can see is probably for the float switch and the pump is elsewhere. If the pump makes a sound, but does not suck – then it may need its diaphragm replacing. The pump motor may still be OK. Pump service kits are available for most models that include a new diaphragm. Hope this helps, even though we have different boats. Picture of my pump attached.
