My only comment to add to those above is that IPX4 is not enough…… situated there the socket will BE OK when closed….. but when open with cables attached the cables and socket will get wet. even if “corrosion proof” this will fail.
So use the other versions “Scanstrut ROKK Charge+ Waterproof Twin USB Socket (4.2A)” which has true IPX6 rating – when both open and closed, because the cables can be attached and then the housing seals around them. much better. Good idea as well!
