All Spars fitted a detachable bow spirit to Brainwave. We run tack line back to cockpit to help with drops when not using furler. Photo shows deck fitting. The poles goose through this and projects about 0.5m. The inboard end of pole clips to pad eye. The tack line runs through the pole.
