We were advised by one rigger to replace the facnor furler on our 2002 Classic 32 but the rigger who eventually replaced our rigging said that there was nothing wrong with it. He cleaned and lubricated the bearings and ?it is still functioning well 3 years later. He advises greasing with light grease every year to keep it functioning. Might be worth a try.
