Ok, thank you very much for the information Nick. After yours and Neil’s posting, I’m considering fixing the lower bearing with adhesive, although I was a bit sceptical, since I was convinced the bearing should stay in place on it’s own merits, so to speak. But it seems I don’t have too many options right now. Hopefully the gap between the bearing and the casing tube is not to large for the adhesive to do it’s job. And, I assume it won’t be easy to remove the bearing when that day comes. But, as we say in Swedish, “that day, that sorrow”…
