I had a kind of similar issue once when my Sister in law joined us on the boat and put her handbag in the wardrobe right next to the sign saying “Warning compass area”!
Could it be that something ferrous has found it’s way close by or perhaps a new DC cable run or something that isn’t usually turned on is now?
