On our 1998 D30C I revarnished the hatch surrounds which had suffered badly from uv.
Coached by a decorator pal, sanded back to bare wood then 6 coats of standard gloss varnish (first three coats thinned)…followed by a final coat of satin. Went from being a terrible match to perfect after the satin. Hempel Duracoat.
