Yes – the blueish tinted plastic panel behind the gas handle. By cutting out a circular hole behind the handle boss the friction and rubbing was eliminated. The handle also fitted the splines better. Once the handle is off you can remove the panel and easily cut the hole and slot for the allen key. I had to grind away a few millimeters on the underside of the handle because it now fits the splines somewhat deeper but is soft aluminium and no problem. Success.
