On our 44 the aft locker is impossible to access with ease in harbour and getting a liferaft out in a heavy sea would be well nigh impossible / dangerous. We keep our raft on the floor of the aft port cabin (valise) but on a 385 it could go strapped to the table legs or on the floor of the fore cabin with a strap. These boats have an especially clean line and to break it up with a chunky liferaft under the boom which also severely restricts the vision is a shame. Just my opinion.
