Reply To: Argofet battery isolator

Andrew, thanks, I do have a valeo still, not the original and it does has the yellow battery sensing wire going via a fuse and thence a red wire to the diode splitter output pole for the house battery. So it is effectively connected directly to the house battery bank.
Now I think there is some confusion over the alternator sensing or excitation wire and the Argofet excitation wire. They serve different purposes. The Argofet excitation wire is to kick the Argofet into outputting a voltage.
I’ve read a couple of threads in ybw and that seems to support this, and also having that same confusion.
I think I will install it without one, ie leave alternator sensing wire directly connected to the house bank and see if it works.
    Thanks for your reply Andrew
