I have a Dufour 31 built in 1979 and they certainly had hull numbers. The number is on a plate infront of the rudder stock in the cockpit. It is secured by four screws and is very obvious. Can only assume that the plate has been removed from your boat!
You don’t say why you need the number but I guess it will be difficult to establish it after such a long time.
