Thanks- a further question if I may? The chain would run around the windlass and normally drop vertically, but in your case it looks like it is then coming back to enter the chain locker. Looking at examples of horizontal windlasses, I don’t see how it can do that, as it would mean going under the body of the motor. Or have I misunderstood?
