The advice that you cannot go smaller with the current sheet positions is wrong – they just need to make the clew higher.
We had new sails made and had a 100% jib and a 130 genoa. For both we requested a higher clew. For the jib it meant the sheet track position was still okay and for the genoa it meant we were better able to see under the genoa when it was fully out. All done by Jeckells and a good job too.
