I have an electric outboard, the Epropulsion 1kW.
This has a power unit small enough to fit through the cutout in the cockpit well and is quiet enough for use in the cockpit.
It has a large propeller giving good efficiency although the range at full power is limited.
It pushes the boat very well at mooring/marina speeds.
It is mostly used in calm conditions when your get used to reducing speed to increase range.
It would not push you into a strong wind but with the main reefed and the jib part rolled she sails well.
It is light enough to lift out and store under the cockpit.
