    Hi
I do this all the time with my Dufour 325.
The impeller wheel needs a scrub every month or two due to growth build up.
It’s quick, easy and I usually get away with less than a pint in the forepeak locker.
Do check the washer seal on your spare plug is in tact first.
Unscrew impeller plug. Do not lift yet – water will start to trickle up.
Position blanking plug in other hand ready to use.
Pull impeller up and out and immediately plug with blanking plug. You will need to twist and push down until it finds its seating position notch and then it will seat down and home.
Reverse process once impeller is sparkly clean – I find my girlfriend’s toothbrush works well for impeller cleaning.
    Best wishes
    Allister
