I would be surprised if it was not a Whitlock Cobra pedestal which is now part of the Lewmar group. Whitlock did use some Solimar parts especially the bearings. Yacht Steering Services in Emsworth is the person to go to for advice. Contrary to the appearances of the website he is a one man band operating out of a small industrial unit at Emsworth Marina. He was very helpful when I went to see him last week when I had problems with the engine controls. You may be able to contact him on 07970 820552 although cannot guarantee it.
